Aframe provides a simple interface which enables users to add frame accurate timecode-based metadata to any clip stored within a project. You can do this in a couple of different ways - one of these is commenting on a clip.
To add a comment onto the timeline of a clip, double click on the thumbnail of your chosen asset to launch it in the player.
As the video plays back, click in the text field below the player. The video will pause, enabling you to tie your comment to that specific point in the timeline.
Handy hints -
You have various keyboard shortcuts available, whilst viewing the review player, click on 'keyboard shortcuts available'. This is located in the bottom left of the screen.
You can move between the hours, minutes or frames of a clip by clicking onto the relevant section within the timecode box. Now use the up/down arrows on your keyboard to flick between times.
Once you are happy with the section chosen, add your comment and click on 'Add comment'.
Your comment will appear in the clip metadata on the right of the player.
You can click on any user comment to jump that specific point in the clip.
Handy hint -
You can print out the comments, along with the clip title and timecode start points, by clicking on the 'print' icon. This is located under your metadata panel - bottom right of the screen whilst viewing your clip.
Any collaborators on your project can see which clips have comments on them in the thumbnail view. Any clips which contain markers have a colour-coded signifier on the button of the clip thumbnail.
You can also search your project for clips which contain certain phrases, using the filter tool. Simply type in your search query in the text box on the right of the page.
Your viewed selection will update, returning any results matching your search query.
