Global Search - searching across all of your projects

Last Updated: May 28, 2017 11:03AM BST
As your media library grows we understand that being able to find your material quickly is very important. You will notice at the top of your black menu sidebar, regardless of which screen you are in within Aframe, a search text box. You can type whatever you are looking for and Aframe will search across all of the projects you have access to, providing the results and quick access to the clips and projects.

Its important to stress here that Aframe will only check the projects and clips that you have permissions set against.

Lets take a look at what it looks like -

As mentioned above, the search text box will be located in the top left of every screen you enter within Aframe.

Simply type in what you are looking for, in this example I will search for 'time'. Aframe will then get to work, looking across all of my projects clips.

Here are the results from my search -

Aframe has searched across all of the clips, across all of the projects, regardless of the geographical location its stored.
The results are ranked by relevancy, so clips with multiple markers or mentions (matching your query) will be at the top, and clips with less matches will be at the bottom.

The fields we index for
search
include clip title, clip description, markers (comments, log notes, xmp) and collection title. If a clip contains multiple markers which match your query, these will be presented in list form next to the thumbnail, with a link to jump to each timecode.

You can preview the assets directly from the results page by selecting the review icon , and jump to the project in which it resides selecting 'Go to the clips project' icon .

Filters on the right of the page allow you to narrow down your results by location and/or project.

As you can see, this is a very powerful tool that gives you instant access to all of the assets across your library, no matter where you are, anywhere in the world.
